WMODA - Wiener Museum Of Decorative Arts
Welcome to the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts. We are proud to present the most comprehensive collection of British pottery and porcelain in the United States. We also have a spectacular collection of art glass, notably the work of René Lalique and Dale Chihuly.
The collection presents ornamental wares from the 18th century to the present day, including pioneers and entrepreneurs of the British pottery industry, such as Josiah Wedgwood and Sir Henry Doulton. Their innovations accompanied economic and social changes that increased the demand for luxury goods in many parts of the world. The role of ceramic art in fashionable interiors of the 19th and 20th centuries is evoked by classic furniture from the Victorian, Art Nouveau and Art Deco eras.
WMODA is a non-profit museum founded in 2013 by Arthur Wiener and his family to inspire appreciation and understanding of ceramics and glass as art forms. This remarkable legacy enables us to celebrate an important aspect of our cultural heritage in an exciting and enjoyable environment.
